I was so lucky to have a great group of testers help me finish up my Prairie Rose Set pattern. No matter how carefully I proof my own work it is impossible to catch everything so thank goodness for other eyes. It's also such great validation to see how other sewers create with one of my patterns. I'm excited to show you what they came up with, starting with Mary Jo from All This for Them (above) who sewed the blouse and pants. The blouse fabric is a vintage sheet--so perfect! Below is Carolina from Dotted Whale who made the dress in this beautiful voile--she calls the dress "Laura Ingalls."
Leah sewed a blouse and skirt (and she made coordinating pants too) in beautiful prairie-inspired colors.
Carolyn from Moose Mouse Creations added mini pom-pom trim to her blouse and pants! So adorable!
You'll have to click through to see the rest!
Robyn made a classic white blouse and corduroy pants. You can't go wrong with that!
Eleanor of Practical Peaces made several outfits with the Prairie Rose Set pattern including this darling dress in corduroy.
Bonnie from Bdazzled Scraps on Etsy made the blouse and pants for her granddaughter. I love the pants in denim.
Chelsie of Puddy Pad Designs made a beautiful blouse and maxi skirt for her friend's daughter--so generous of her to test and not even be sewing for her own!
Teri from Climbing the Willow added beautiful lace trim to a dress sewn in striped linen. Such a perfect combination.
Elizabeth made the blouse in a fun print with a velvety skirt to match. She made a matching outfit for her other daughter with pants. As you know, I have a weakness for coordinating sets myself...
There were a few holiday ensembles! Rachael made the Prairie Rose Dress (above) in a great red, white, green and pink print calico she found at Joan. (How sweet is that baby?!)
Sarah of Kelly's Kustom Kreations made this holiday blouse, maxi skirt and sash with coordinating headband (check out her shop for more cute accessories like this one).
And Janice made this blouse with a Santa printed maxi skirt.
Ana Sofia of S is for Sewing made a Prairie Rose Dress in this pretty strawberry-colored chambray. I love her choice of belt with this!
I was wondering if anyone would try contrasting ruffles (the dimensions for the ruffles are listed separately in the pattern to give you this option) so I was so excited to see this version of the Prairie Rose Dress from Joelle.
Melinda made a dotted version of the dress in orange just in time for Thanksgiving. I love the polka dots!
Kerrie made a dress too--in a pretty pink and purple print.
And finally, we have this cute set of the Prairie Rose Blouse in a green floral calico and Prairie Rose Pants in denim made by Stacey. I have to say I love a tiny floral calico!
Thank you so much for my incredible testers! November is such a busy time of year and I really appreciate their efforts to ensure this pattern works for a variety of girls and seamstresses.
Where do we find this pattern? I love the pants set with ruffles. I have a daughter I would love to make this for.
ReplyDelete@Erin: Thanks for your comment. So nice to hear you like the pattern. It is for sale in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/weemuses and there is also a link at the beginning of this post to my blog post about the pattern. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis is truly a "must-have" pattern - so many options :-)
